Policies

Registration and Enrollment

  1. Registration for all classes and programs must be completed online through our website.
  2. Each class listing specifies the recommended age range and skill level to help you choose the best fit for your dancer.
  3. When registering, you will be asked to provide essential information, including the dancer’s name, parent/guardian contact details, emergency contacts, and payment information if you opt for automatic billing.
  4. Placement in classes is based on age and skill level. However, our instructors may recommend moving a dancer to a different class if their ability exceeds or falls below the typical range for their age group.
  5. For the OverDrive Series, registration closes when classes fill or by the first week of the session — whichever comes first. Late registrations are not accepted.
  6. There are four sessions of the OverDrive Series offered throughout the year, excluding BabyDrive, which follows the 10-month program schedule. If you miss registration for a current session, don’t worry—another session will begin immediately following the current one.
  7. The Technique & Development Series accepts registrations until October to accommodate the longer program length.
  8. NRG (Competitive Team) enrollment is by audition only, held during the annual Summer Intensive. Information about potential mid-season auditions will be communicated if available.
  9. Please note that completing registration confirms your commitment to the program and acceptance of all studio policies.

Payment and tuition

  1. Tuition is due on the 1st of each month and considered late after the 5th.
  2. A $35 late fee will be applied to payments received after the 5th.
  3. If tuition is not received by the 15th of the month, your dancer may be removed from their program.
  4. Tuition is non-refundable and does not prorate, except if the studio cancels a class and cannot offer a make-up. In such cases, a credit or prorated refund may be provided.
  5. If tuition is late for two consecutive months, removal from the program may be permanent.
  6. We accept payments via Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Zelle, and Venmo.
  7. Automatic monthly billing is available for convenience. Enrolling in auto-pay ensures timely payments and avoids late fees. You can opt in during registration.
  8. Drop-in classes have separate pricing and are not included in monthly tuition rates; they are non-refundable.
  9. Outstanding balances must be settled promptly to maintain enrollment.

Attendance and make-up

  1. Regular attendance is essential for your dancer’s progress and success. Please make every effort to attend all scheduled classes.
  2. If a student misses a class, they are responsible for catching up on missed material. We encourage scheduling a private make-up session with the instructor to stay on track.
  3. Make-up sessions must be scheduled directly with the instructor and are subject to availability and an additional fee.
  4. The studio will not slow down or modify class pacing to accommodate absent students.
  5. No refunds or credits are offered for missed classes due to personal reasons such as illness, travel, or scheduling conflicts.
  6. If the studio cancels a class and cannot provide a make-up, tuition may be prorated or credited accordingly.
  7. Please notify the studio in advance if your dancer will be absent whenever possible.
  8. For 10-month programs — including BabyDrive and the Technique & Development Series — if a dancer accumulates 4 or more unexcused absences (excluding illness or school-related absences), they may be subject to removal from the program. 4 tardies will be counted as 1 unexcused absence.
  9. For 12-week programs — the OverDrive Series2 or more unexcused absences (excluding illness or school-related absences) may result in removal from the program. 2 tardies will be counted as 1 unexcused absence.
  10. We recommend students arrive at least 10 minutes early to avoid tardiness and ensure they are prepared for class.

Classroom Etiquette and Expectations

  1. Dancers should arrive on time, dressed appropriately, and ready to engage fully in class activities.
  2. Athletic sneakers, hats, and accessories are allowed; however, jeans and open-toe shoes are prohibited for safety reasons.
  3. Respect for instructors, fellow dancers, and studio property is required at all times.
  4. Cell phones should be silenced or turned off during class to minimize distractions.
  5. Food and drinks (except water) are not permitted inside the studio room, but are allowed in the lobby area to maintain cleanliness.
  6. Positive attitudes, active listening, and following instructor directions contribute to a productive class environment.
  7. Disruptive behavior that affects the learning experience may result in removal from class.
  8. We strive to maintain an inclusive, respectful, and supportive environment where every dancer can thrive.

Parent and guests

  1. Our studio features an open-concept design between the lobby and the studio room, allowing some visibility into classes.
  2. We plan to install walls or curtains in the future to create designated viewing areas for parents.
  3. Surveillance cameras will be installed to provide parents with live viewing access in the lobby.
  4. While parents are welcome to watch, we strongly encourage drop-off or waiting outside, as some dancers may become distracted or feel pressured when parents are present.
  5. Please maintain a quiet and respectful environment in and around the studio during class times.
  6. Siblings and non-registered guests must be supervised and remain in designated areas to ensure safety and minimize distractions.
  7. Throughout the year, there will be several parent meetings, including orientation sessions and meetings related to performances and showcases.
  8. Parents will be notified of these meetings via email and text, so please keep an eye out for communications from us.

performances and showcases

  1. Participation in performances and showcases is a privilege that requires commitment and responsibility.
  2. All dancers involved in performances must attend all required rehearsals, dress rehearsals, and tech runs unless excused for valid reasons communicated in advance.
  3. Performance days typically include technical (tech) runs in the morning and may be full-day events. Please keep the entire day free to ensure your dancer’s full participation.
  4. Costumes and performance attire must be cared for properly and returned if rented or studio-owned.
  5. Any damage or loss of costume items may incur replacement fees.
  6. Dancers are expected to maintain appropriate behavior during rehearsals, performances, and backstage to ensure a positive environment.
  7. Parents and guests must follow studio guidelines during performances, including designated viewing areas and adherence to photography/video policies.
  8. The studio reserves the right to withhold performance participation if a dancer does not meet rehearsal attendance, tuition, or behavioral expectations.
  9. Detailed information about upcoming performances, including dates, locations, and ticketing, will be provided via email and posted on the studio website.

private lessons

  1. We offer private lessons with Mr. Brandon or Mr. Alton to provide personalized training tailored to your dancer’s specific goals.
  2. When scheduling, please clarify what you’d like to focus on, such as grooving, footwork, musicality, or particular styles like locking or tutting.
  3. Private lessons are billed separately from regular classes and have their own rate.
  4. To book a private lesson, please contact the studio directly to coordinate availability and goals.

Weather and Emergency closures

  1. The safety of our dancers, families, and staff is our top priority. In the event of severe weather or emergencies, the studio may close or cancel classes.
  2. Closure decisions will be communicated as early as possible via email, text, and our website or social media channels.
  3. When possible, makeup classes will be scheduled for any canceled sessions. If a makeup class cannot be provided, appropriate tuition credits or refunds may be offered at the studio’s discretion.
  4. Please monitor your email and phone messages closely during inclement weather or emergency situations for the latest updates.
  5. We do not offer refunds or credits for missed classes due to personal circumstances or non-studio-related closures.

photo and video release

  1. By enrolling your dancer in our studio programs, you grant permission for the studio to take photographs and videos of your child during classes, rehearsals, performances, and studio events.
  2. These images and videos may be used for promotional materials, including but not limited to our website, social media platforms, newsletters, flyers, and advertisements.
  3. We respect your privacy and will not share personal information alongside images or videos without explicit consent.
  4. If you do not wish for your dancer to be photographed or recorded, please notify the studio in writing at the time of registration or as soon as possible thereafter. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request.
  5. Parents and guardians are also asked to respect the privacy of other dancers and refrain from taking photos or videos during class time unless explicitly permitted by the studio.

  1. Our studio encourages positive and respectful engagement on all social media platforms. We value a supportive community both in-person and online.
  2. When posting about the studio, please be mindful of respecting the privacy and dignity of all dancers, families, instructors, and staff. Avoid sharing content that could be considered disrespectful, harmful, or inappropriate.
  3. Please do not share photos or videos of other dancers without explicit permission from their parents or guardians.
  4. Tagging the studio in posts and using official studio hashtags is welcome and appreciated, but all posts should reflect the positive spirit of our community.
  5. Any online behavior that is harmful, harassing, or discriminatory toward members of our studio community may result in consequences, including removal from classes or teams.
